Welcome to Your Postpartum Village!

Parents get to hold their babies, but who gets to hold the parents? In modern, Western society, isolation can be felt more intensely and resources for parental support can feel so far away, or like you’re not allowed to call on them at all.

As a Postpartum Doula, a mom, and a community member I aim to encourage, demonstrate, and be always open to learning more about a different way of thinking. It’s my privilege to do everything I can to help families feel the embrace of a village through…

Talking through your anxieties, sharing in your excitement, and making practical plans to help you feel secure before baby arrives. Yes, this can include help with a nursery set-up!

This could be for stocking up on nourishing meals for your freezer, or if you simply want help in the kitchen while your hands are full and your eyelids are heavy.

Safe, gentle, evidence-based care that respects your parenting choices.

Breast/chest and/or bottle-feeding guidance and troubleshooting.

Anything from debriefing a tricky night of sleep to making sure you have the chance to shower, have a nice snack, and relax.

The birth-work community is chock-full of knowledgeable professionals for more specific needs like Lactation Consultants, Sleep Specialists, and beyond. If I don’t know someone to refer you, I can certainly find them and initiate the connection!
